On Camera Choreo Challenge is a one day hoop dance intensive that combines choreography, dance and film to provide you with a creative and collaborative experience! This class is designed to inspire you, challenge you and most importantly, give you an opportunity to create with your hoop dance community! While it is a challenge, the purpose of this workshop is NOT about getting every move perfectly, it’s about going with the flow, creating with friends and most importantly, doing what you love most…hula hooping!
I will be choreographing, filming AND editing the videos, so you can trust that I will capture your best angles because I know how I like to be filmed when I hoop and want to give you a similar experience.

Who is this class for?
This class is for the performer, the creator, the passionate hooper who wants to elevate their dance, hoop and choreo comprehension skills! This class is all levels, however, having hoop dance experience will definitely help!
What do I need to bring to the workshop?
1. Outfit for the shoot - the hula hoops I will be giving everyone are lime green, so I suggest wearing black, white and hints of green, however, this is merely a suggestion! Where whatever you feel the most confident in when you hoop!
2. Makeup/hair products for touch ups during the break if you're inspired to do makeup! Again, this isn't required!
3. Snacks! (Some snacks will be provided, but I encourage you to bring your own!)
What does a typical workshop schedule look like?
The first 3 hours will be spent learning a 1 minute single hoop dance routine. One hour will be allotted for eating lunch, getting ready for the shoot and spending one on one time with me to ask any questions you have about the choreography. The final two hours will be spent filming the routine in small groups of 3 – if you are coming with friends, you are more than welcome to perform together! Each group will have 3 times to film the choreography. If you don’t nail the choreography, don’t worry, that is the beauty of editing! I will make you and your group look flawless! Following the small groups, students who want a solo will be filmed. If you are performing a solo, you are encouraged to improvise before and after the choreography and will have extra time to play! You will have a supportive audience cheering you on!
How do I know if this workshop is right for me?
If you love to create, dance, hula hoop and hangout with your friends…this is the perfect experience for you! My goal is to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to make an epic video while learning new tricks and dance techniques. There is zero pressure to be perfect. You will have an entire room of supportive hoopers and friends cheering you on during the process!
